Picked up a copy of Cosmos recently after reading Age of Wonder. time to learn more about astronomy after reading so much about Herschel.

Saw this had come out in paperback, so I picked up a copy.
Quite good. Traced the develpment of recording tech during Sinatra's career, especially in the Columbia and Capitol eras. A good followup on the topic after having read the Bing Crosby bio earlier this year.
Picked this up as a result of a couple recommendations. So far, so good.
Just on a John McPhee kick for a bit. Learning about 18-wheelers, barges, ocean tanker training, and coal trains.
Plucked this out of the bookcase over the weekend—didn't even realize I owned it. Bought it used some time ago, I guess. Should be easier going than Assembling California or The Control of Nature. Finished July 10.
Decided to do a little historical reading next, so looks like a couple books on the Battle of Britain, which I know little about. Finished June 23.
Decided to get a little escapism in my reading, so I pulled out one of the Pern books that I hadn't read in a long time.
Haven't seen the movie just yet, so I picked up a copy of the novel. Never owned a copy of it. Quite good much of the time, but there's some heavy-handed stuff in their as well.
