Early iPhone thoughts
By now you've all heard about it at least: Apple's introduced the iPhone, shipping in June, tied to Cingular. No doubt the price will change given time. Not really concerned about the 2.0 mpx camera.
Pros:
- Runs OS X
- 160 ppi screen
- One button
- Safari browser
- Proximity and ambient light sensors, accerlerometer
- Elegant touch interface
- Nice use of widgets
Cons:
- No way to add additional memory
- No removable battery
- No wifi sync for iTunes
- No purchasing from iTunes store from phone
- No GPS
Other thoughts: Will there be an iPod version of this soon? That is, a version with the phone stuff stripped out, maintaining the screen and music/video/photo interface? That'd be sweet.
No, I'm not getting one. At least not for some time now.
